Lacoste shirt

Lacoste shirt
A short-sleeved cotton sport shirt sporting an embroidered alligator logo on the right breast, inspired by French tennis legend René Lacoste. This shirt marked the first time that a logo was ever worn on the outside of a garment. The alligator logo is really a crocodile, which was Lacoste's nickname. When President Dwight D. Eisenhower wore one while playing golf, they became extremely popular and knit polo shirt copies soon appeared.
